And now lets talk about the “Doctors of the Church” well they are not literally a doctor like psychiatrist, cardiologist, allergist (immunologist), anesthesiologist and etc they are more than that they are the saints that have done a lot for the sake of Catholic faith particularly in their contribution to the doctrine and theology………
But before the 16th century they are called the Fathers of the Church in the early middle ages they are St. Gregory the Great, Saint Ambrose, Saint Augustine and St. Jerome the “four Doctors” became a commonplace among the scholastics and a decree of Boniface VIII (1298)
And now there are almost 36 Doctors of the Church

But in the Lutheran Calendar of Saints does not use the term Doctors of the Church the calendar refers to Martin Luther as the doctor.
