The Carmelite Order is one of the famous order in the Holy Catholic Church, well this is not like an order in a trial court or even it not related to the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix……..
This is an order dedicated to our Almighty God and it was been blessed throughtout its history with men and women that dedicated themselves entirely to our Almighty God and spread his words and gospels wherever they are and even some of them are been our Saints and recognize as a Blessed.
One of them is St. Teresa of Avila the foundress and Holy Mother of the Discalced Carmelites she is different from St. Theresa of Lisieux so dont be confused but they are both belong to the Carmelite Order, also St. Teresa of Avila is one of the first three women Doctors of the Church she is not a perfect human being but her intimacy with Jesus and her interior life of mystical experiences are great gifts to the Church and a wonderful gift from God.
The second one is St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross but most of us know her as St. Edith Stein he was a marvelous writer and a one of the most intelligent philosopher of the Holy Catholic Church, she was well educated and through her life she influence many individuals and philosophical circles in Germany and her influence still lives on today but first of all she is not a Catholic but a German Jew. She converted to Catholicism and entered the Carmelite Order but her life is not a happily ever after the Nazis arrested her and killed her in Auschwitz.
The Third one is St. Teresa of the Andes she was influenced by the writings of St. Teresa of Avila, St. Therese of Lisieux and Bl. Elizabeth of the Trinity she became a Carmelite in her teenage year ( 19 years old). Our dear St. Teresa of the Andes had a great devotion to the Holy Eucharist and one of the saints that are came from Latin America (St. Teresa of the Andes is the first Chilean declared as a Saint). God was her infinite joy and she told others she would spend her life in love, suffering and offering for the salvation of souls.
St. Theresa of Lisieux the little flower she is the third and most recent woman to be declared a Doctor of the Church. She is the most beloved modern Saint and we absolutely know that and her writings and teachings about how powerful our Almighty God are a piece of timeless master piece of a great art dedicated to our God.
St. John of the Cross his life of prayer and intense love for Christ are evident in all his works. One of his most famous works is The Dark Night of the Soul. St. John of the Cross was an accomplished writer, artist, poet and mystic who suffered greatly for his faith to God and was even imprisoned. He help and partnered to St. Teresa of Avila to found the Discalced Carmelites
Bl. Elizabeth of the Trinity her wish that souls understand that God is present to them from within, and that they come to know Him by silencing themselves in order to recognize Him there, within the depths of their heart. Elizabeth’s marvelous and wonderful writings and even her life are a big testimony to others worship God in his glory for the gift of Trinitarian
